KATHMANDU, Feb 23: The death toll in the Dhading bus accident has climbed to 18, while 26 people have been injured.
The passenger bus (Ga 2 Kha 1421) was traveling from Pokhara to Kathmandu when it met with an accident in Dhading. Among the injured passengers, 22 have been brought to Kathmandu for further treatment.
According to Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, spokesperson for the District Police Range Kathmandu, 12 injured are receiving treatment at the National Trauma Center, while 10 are undergoing treatment at National City Hospital in Kalanki. Of the 23 injured brought to Kathmandu, one person has died during treatment. The deceased has not yet been identified.

At National Hospital, Kalanki, nine men and one woman are being treated. At the National Trauma Center, seven men and five women are undergoing treatment.
Those receiving treatment at National Hospital, Kalanki are: 33-year-old Rajesh Kunwar of Sitapaila, Kathmandu; 18-year-old Subin Malla of Bhakte, Tanahun; 35-year-old Pratibha Paudel of Lekhnath, Kaski; 23-year-old Chandra Ashish Phuyal of Devinagar, Kaski; 19-year-old Sangam Malla of Lolang, Kathmandu; 39-year-old Pramila Bhattarai of Chisuwa, Kaski; 64-year-old Dammar Bahadur BK of Phedikhola-4, Syangja; 25-year-old Krishna Tiwari of Kalanki, Kathmandu; 20-year-old Sunam Gurung of Kaski; and 36-year-old Rajendra Bisunke of Dhunibesi, Dhading.
Those undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Center include 22-year-old Chinese national Ki Missi Hau; 48-year-old Angie Sherpa of Boudha, Kathmandu; 45-year-old Som Prasad Malla of Tanahun; 30-year-old Bipin Manandhar of Jhapa; 28-year-old Pooja Phuyal of Gokarna, Kathmandu; 26-year-old Sachindra Sunar of Phedikhola, Syangja; and Pradeep Lamichhane of Lekhnath, Kaski.
Also receiving treatment at the Trauma Center are Norbu Palden of Boudha, Kathmandu; Swarnima Khatri of Kapan, Kathmandu; 19-year-old Salina Pariyar of Kaski; 44-year-old Man Bahadur Thapa of Tanahun; and 48-year-old Langsangoli Lama of Boudha, Kathmandu, according to Kathmandu Police.
