KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Incidents of fraud using fake social media accounts created in the names and photos of Nepali film artists have been increasing, prompting the Film Development Board to urge the public to remain cautious.
In recent days, several actors have reported that scammers are impersonating them on social media and asking friends, relatives, and fans for money. Actor Anmol KC on Friday shared screenshots showing messages sent from a fake number using his name and photo, requesting money. He urged people not to send any money and to block such numbers.
