KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has announced a total budget of Rs 2.124 trillion for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026/27.

Out of the amount, Rs 1.271 trillion has been allocated for recurrent expenditure, Rs 431 billion for capital expenditure and Rs 422 billion for financial management including debt servicing. To finance the expenditure, the government has targeted to generate Rs 1.404 trillion from revenue collection. The estimated grant amount will be Rs 61.74 billion and foreign aid will be Rs 247 billion.
