KATHMANDU, May 5: The government has changed the name of Land Revenue Offices across the country through an ordinance amending the Land Survey and Measurement Act, 2019.
Under the amendment introduced through the ordinance, the term “Malpot Office” used in the law has been replaced with “Land Administration Office.”
Govt recommends president to issue five ordinances
According to the revised provision, all references to Land Revenue Offices in the Act will now be recognized as Land Administration Offices.
The change comes as the government moves ahead with broader reforms in land administration and surveying services.
