Each household to be provided with electric stoves in next fiscal year

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has announced plans to distribute electric stoves to all households in the new fiscal year that will begin from mid-July.

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has announced plans to distribute electric stoves to all households in the new fiscal year that will begin from mid-July.



Unveiling the annual budget for the fiscal year 2022/23 on Sunday, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma  announced that the 'one household, one electric stove' campaign will be implemented through the local government concerned in the new fiscal year beginning mid-July.

Minister Sharma also announced that the distribution of improved stoves will be given continuity as a part of the government’s smoke-free kitchen program.
