KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Former Bharatpur Metropolitan City (BMC) Mayor Renu Dahal, who has filed her candidacy from Chitwan-3 for the House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5, has said that she is receiving love, trust, and support from the public.
Her remarks came in response to a news story by an online media outlet on Sunday suggesting she could be defeated by her rival Sobita Gautam of the Rastriya Swatantra Party in Chitwan-3.

While busy with her door-to-door election campaign, Dahal attributed the public’s support to her commitment and integrity demonstrated over two terms in BMC.
She emphasized that both victory and defeat must be accepted once the election begins, expressing hope of winning by a wide margin based on voter trust. Dahal also stressed that respecting democratic values and dignity, and ensuring a fair and transparent election, requires the support and cooperation of everyone.
