KATHMANDU, May 27: Nepali folk-rock band Nepathya is set to perform in Malaysia for the first time on June 1 at Zepp Kuala Lumpur.
The band, which recently returned from tours in Canada and New Zealand, will perform for Nepali migrant workers and music enthusiasts living in Malaysia.
Nepathya to embark on first concert tour in Canada on October 1
For Nepathya, Malaysia will become the 20th country and Kuala Lumpur the 58th international city to host its concert.
Frontman Amrit Gurung said the band was excited to finally meet audiences in Malaysia who had long been interacting through social media.
The local organizer, Arbitrary Events, said excitement surrounding the concert has been growing among the Nepali community across Malaysia.
The concert will feature Amrit Gurung alongside Dhurba Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboard.
Tickets for the concert are available online through Nepathya’s official website, while phone booking services have also been arranged for audiences in Malaysia.
