KATHMANDU, Sept 28: The government has announced plans to run the Gen-Z Clinic in the Kathmandu Valley and other cities across the country to treat people injured during the Gen-Z protests that took place on September 8 and 9.
Such clinics would be run in select hospitals under the Ministry of Health and Population, which would facilitate the identification of injured persons and their access to effective treatment facilities, the Home Ministry stated.

Focal persons of the Ministry of Home and the Ministry of Health and Population would be named to facilitate the treatment of the injured persons in the given hospitals.
Issuing a statement today, the Home Ministry mentioned that the specialist doctor from the concerned hospital would lead the task force for the classification of the injured persons.
Likewise, a help desk would be set up at the Home Ministry from September 28 for the identification and effective treatment of the injured.
The Home Ministry and concerned hospitals would arrange ambulances for the injured ones for their follow-up.
