DAMAK, March 1: Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, Deputy General Secretary of CPN-UML, has said that if the party and its Chair KP Sharma Oli face defeat in the upcoming election, the country itself would suffer a setback.
Speaking at the inauguration of a motorcycle rally organized in Kamal Rural Municipality of Jhapa on Sunday, where Oli is contesting, Bhattarai urged voters to ensure the victory of nationalist forces in the election. He said the CPN-UML is currently leading nationalist forces under the leadership of Oli, making their victory crucial.
Oli’s continued leadership will no longer revitalize the party:...
Referring to Jhapa’s historical role in reviving the Nepali communist movement, Bhattarai expressed confidence that voters in the district would once again send a strong national message by electing nationalist leadership.
Addressing a gathering in Ward No. 7, Geuriya, under Jhapa Constituency-5, he also claimed that the development model implemented in the area stands as a national example. Bhattarai has been participating in various campaign events in the constituency as part of efforts to secure victory for former prime minister Oli.
