KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary and Member of Parliament Bishwa Prakash Sharma has commented that CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli is trying to keep Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in a cage.
While asking the House of Representatives (HoR) members to vote for Ishwari Devi Neupane, who has become the Speaker's candidate on behalf of the NC in the HoR meeting on Thursday, he Sharma said that Oli is trying to keep Prime Minister Dahal in a cage by becoming the coordinator of a high-level political mechanism.

Sharma also argued that his party should get the Speaker's post to promote the recognition of the ruling party as the government and the opposition as parliament. He said that his party is the main opposition party and should get the Speaker's post as the largest party.
Chief Minister Sharma recalled the Prime Ministership of KP Oli and said that they do not want a Speaker who does not support the Prime Minister and a President who does unnecessary support.
