UDAYAPUR, July 15: Armed Police Force seized 436.14 kg of marijuana from a jeep transporting vegetables in Udayapur’s Katari Municipality.
During a routine check at Garas, Katari-2 along the Siddhicharan Highway, police discovered the drugs concealed in 12 sacks inside a Bolero jeep numbered (Ko 1 Ja 1275), which was en route to Mirchaiya, Siraha from Katari.

The driver, identified as Tej Rai, 29, of Shahidbhumi Rural Municipality-2, Dhankuta, has been taken into custody along with the vehicle and the contraband.
The jeep, marijuana, and the driver are currently held at the Area Police Office, Katari for further legal proceedings, according to District Police Spokesperson DSP Kedarman Dong.
