KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday declined 10.25 points to close at 2,662.14 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,672.39 points, initially reaching the day’s high at 2,682.09 points in the first around one hour, before sliding down for the next around two and a half hours. The index plunged to the day’s low at 2,655.8 points in the last 16 minutes, while the market recovered around seven points in the remaining time before it closed for the day.

Two groups were the gainers as trading surged 19.70 points and mutual funds inclined 0.04 points. Of the 11 losers, life insurance plummeted by the largest of 98.44 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies decreased 1.26 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 8.61 billion from Rs 10.77 billion.
Among the individual companies, 74 were gainers while 179 were recorded as losers.Arun Valley Hydropower Development Co Ltd had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 452.84 million.
Corporate Development Bank Limited dropped by the highest of 5.24 percent. Kalinchowk Darshan Limited increased by the highest of 6.36 percent.
