KATHMANDU, May 19: Celebrated Pageant choreographer Aswini Kant Jha won the “Excellence in Beauty Pageant Choreography Award – 2026” at the Global Star Award 2026. The grand award ceremony was held at Hotel Mercure, where leading personalities from the entertainment, fashion, and creative sectors gathered to celebrate excellence across various fields.
Receiving the award, Jha expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his team, organizers, supporters, and all the well-wishers who have stood beside him throughout his journey to date. He shared that this award has further motivated him to continue delivering even better work in the years to come.

Widely regarded as one of Nepal’s most accomplished choreographers, Aswini Jha has remained actively involved in the fashion and beauty pageant industry for many years. Aswini has successfully choreographed more than 300 fashion shows and beauty pageants, earning him several awards and honors for his creative vision and dedication.
The evening also awarded several other notable personalities for their outstanding achievements. Actor Paul Shah received the “Star of the Decade” award, while singer Yam Baral received the “Legacy Achievement Award.”
Similarly, Usha Upreti received the “Excellence in Music Video Modeling Award,” Ambika Tamang won the “Rising Star Modeling Award,” and Devendra Pandey was honored with the “Excellence in Music Video Director Award.”
Other recipients recognized during the event included Alish Khanal, Deepa Shahi, Sushma Ghising Tamang, Shrini Dhakhwa, Rojina Yonjan, Sarita Tamang, Sapana Janak, and Radhakrishna Basaula for their excellence and valuable contributions in their respective fields.
