KATHMANDU, May 13: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday slid 4.15 points to close at 2,740.25 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,744.40 points, slightly increased three points in the first one minute and had a straight fall of 24 points in the next 23 minutes. The market reached the day’s low at 2,720.67 points within the first one and a half hours. The market recovered around 20 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Two sectors trading, and manufacturing and processing were the gainers of 55.95 points and 53.97 points, respectively. Non-life insurance plunged by the largest of 66.50 points.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, decreased 0.70 points. Daily turnover plunged to Rs 2.80 billion from Rs 4.66 billion.
Among the individual companies, 82 were the gainers as 176 lost their charms for the investors. SY Panel Nepal Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 277.94 million.
Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited witnessed the highest loss of 11.17 percent in its market value. Asian Hydropower Limited stood as the topmost gainer of 11.42 percent.
