KATHMANDU, May 26: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday dipped 9.24 points to close at 2,777.10 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,786.35 points, inclined to day’s high at 2,791.86 points in the first 12 minutes, while going to a straight fall to 2,770.73 points in the next 24 minutes. The index fell to the day’s low at 2,767.74 points in the next 77 minutes. The market went through nominal fluctuations in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Non-life insurance and the mutual funds were the only gainers with a surge of 38.38 points and 0.05 points, respectively. Of the 11 losers, life insurance shed the largest fall of 67.72 points.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, decreased 1.45 points. Daily turnover slumped to Rs 4.85 billion from Rs 5.98 billion.
Among the individual companies, 70 were the gainers as 190 lost their charms for the investors. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 467.26 million.
Kalinchok Hydropower Limited witnessed the highest gain of 9.23 percent in its market value. Super Khudi Hydropower Limited stood as the topmost loser of 3.60 percent.
