KATHMANDU, April 30: The death toll from a jeep accident carrying pilgrims in Rolpa has reached 20, police said, adding that rescue operations are ongoing.
The jeep, which was transporting pilgrims from Rukum East to offer worship during the Baisakh Purnima fair in the Jaljala area of Rolpa, met with the accident on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The District Police Office, Rolpa, said the jeep plunged off the road at Jaljala in Thabang Rural Municipality–1 and fell approximately 800 metres down a cliff.
