He made the appeal, saying patients have been facing serious difficulties due to the unavailability of OPD services in government hospitals during public holidays.

Paudel argued that suspending OPD services in public hospitals has reduced access to healthcare, which should be affordable and easily available, while also increasing the financial burden on patients.

“Don’t restrict OPD services, ease patients’ suffering!” he wrote on social media. “In recent times, patients have been facing hardship due to the lack of OPD services in government hospitals during public holidays. The suspension of OPD services in public hospitals has limited access to healthcare, which should be accessible and affordable, and has also added financial pressure on patients.”
