Following the directive, airport authorities will now conduct Secondary Ladder Point Checks (SLPC) on all passengers and prohibit visitors from entering terminal buildings.

Authorities will also deploy air marshals.

Citing BCAS instructions, Air India informed its staff that domestic passengers must reach the airport three hours before departure, and check-in counters will close 75 minutes before the flight.
