KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Ujyalo Nepal Party has unveiled its election manifesto.
The party made the manifesto public at a press conference held in Kathmandu on Sunday, stating that the practice of a welfare state and a liberal economy would serve as its fundamental political and economic guidance.

Party Chair Kulman Ghising said the party would practice a socialism-oriented economic system based on dynamic and balanced partnerships among the state, private sector, cooperatives, and the community.
“The party will dedicate its political strength and capacity to building a self-reliant economy by mobilizing maximum domestic capital and attracting foreign investment in priority sectors,” the manifesto states.
Kulman said the party’s primary goal is to make the lives of citizens prosperous by protecting and promoting national interests while ensuring good governance and social justice.
“The party will take citizens’ rights to food, shelter, clothing, education, and health as mandatory state responsibilities by enhancing the capacity of the state,” he said.
