KATHMANDU, Dec 29 : The Ujyalo Nepal Party has recommended popular singer Trishala Gurung as a Proportional Representation (PR) candidate for the upcoming House of Representatives election.
Dr. Gurung, who is also a medical professional, has been put forward in recognition of her expertise in the health sector, commitment to inclusive politics, and professional competence, according to the party.

Trishala has sung famous songs like “Yo Maan” “Kasle Choryo? (Pani Kuwa Ko!)”, “Asafal Sapana”, “Rato Ra Chandra”, and “Gahiro”. She has also performed popular covers and collaborations, including “Kathmandu Sahar” and “Mann Ka Kura”.
Trishala’s crossover appeal as a singer and doctor has helped build her public profile beyond entertainment, and her nomination reflects the party’s effort to bring diverse voices into national politics.
