KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Myagdi Chief District Officer (CDO) Badri Tiwari has been recalled to the Ministry of Home Affairs following his alleged involvement in the visit visa scandal.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) is probing Tiwari under corruption allegations. This has prompted MoHA to remove his responsibilities in Myagdi.

According to MoHA sources, Tiwari has been placed in the Home Ministry’s additional cadre reserve, while Under Secretary Rabindra Acharya currently serving at the Peace and Security Division has been transferred as the new Myagdi CDO.
Tiwari previously served as the personal secretary to former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. The CIAA recently revealed that several individuals including Tiwari and Lekhak are under investigation in connection with the visit visa case filed at the Special Court.
