KATHMANDU, July 20: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday surged 41.70 points (1.55 percent), continuing a notable rise in the market index on the consecutive second-day trading.
After reeling under the bearish trend for a long period, the market on Friday escalated 79 points. On the two successive trading days, the market gained around 120 points.

With Monday’s rise, the NEPSE index has remained at 2,719.24 points, taking the index to the highest figure in a month. The daily turnover amounts also increased to Rs 5.51 billion from Rs 4.57 billion.
Among individual companies the value of 239 increased, 32 decreased, and 5 remained unchanged. The manufacturing and processing group increased the most by 3.21 percent.
The price of the newly listed company Everest Color increased by 15 percent. Ridgeline Energy gained 13.95, Srinagar Agritech 10.95, Solu Hydropower 9.93, Dibyashwari Hydropower 8.62, Hathway Investment 8.61 and Shikhar Power 7.83 percent.
The price of Atmanirbhar Laghubitta fell 6.86 and the price of Corporate Development Bank fell 6.85 percent. The companies with the most transactions in terms of amount are Aankhukhola Hydropower, Reliance Spinning Mills, Ridi Power, Corporate Development Bank, National Hydropower, SY Panel, Api Power, NRN Infrastructure and Himalaya Reinsurance.
