KATHMANDU, March 25: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the prices of petroleum products by Rs 15 per litre, with the new rates coming into effect from midnight Wednesday.
NOC slashes fuel prices
Following the revision, petrol is priced at Rs 184.50 per litre in the first category (geographical area), Rs 186 in the second, and Rs 187 in the third. Diesel and kerosene now cost Rs 164.50 per litre in the first category, Rs 166 in the second, and Rs 167 in the third.
NOC said the price adjustment was driven by a sustained rise in international fuel prices amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The state-owned fuel supplier added that the revision was based on the latest price list received from Indian Oil Corporation, noting that it has not been possible to fully align domestic prices with the automatic pricing mechanism.
