KATHMANDU, Sept 11: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has urged banks and financial institutions to resume operations with limited staff to provide essential banking and digital payment services.

In a public notice issued today, the central bank directed all licensed commercial banks, development banks, finance companies, and payment service providers to ensure business continuity. The NRB said the decision was made in consideration of the prohibitory orders imposed by the Nepal Army on September 10.
