KATHMANDU, April 16: Police on routine patrol arrested 13 individuals from different parts of the country on Wednesday in possession of illegal drugs.
According to the Central Police News Desk, one person was arrested from Teku Brahmatol in Kathmandu Metropolitan City–12 with 560 tramadol tablets, which can only be purchased with a doctor’s prescription. Two individuals were arrested from Krishnagalli in Lalitpur Metropolitan City–3 with 267 tramadol tablets.

Similarly, two individuals were apprehended from Kalindra Community Forest in Barahakshetra Municipality–3 of Sunsari with 1,610 tablets of the same drug, while one person was arrested from Nyureni in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City–10 with tramadol tablets.
In separate incidents, two people were arrested with brown sugar from Khajura Rural Municipality–2 in Banke, and one person was held with brown heroin from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City–8 in Kailali.
Likewise, one individual was arrested from Benitar in Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality–4 of Tanahun, one from Biratnagar Metropolitan City–15 in Morang, and two from Birpur in Shivaraj Municipality–6 of Kapilvastu.
