KANCHANPUR, April 10: Two people died on the spot and six others were injured when a passenger-carrying jeep plunged off the road in Krishnapur Municipality, Kanchanpur, on Thursday evening.
Police Inspector of the District Police Office, Birendra Thapa, said the accident occurred after the jeep (Se 1 Ja 290) fell some 50 metres off the road in the Kumgada area of the municipality.

According to police, Nandaram Parki, around 60, and Kalawati Devi Bohara, 62, of Krishnapur Municipality-1, died on the spot.
Police said the jeep driver, Arjun Saud, 24, sustained serious head injuries.
Dhansari Bohara, Sarita Bohara, Bhawana Parki, Reshma Ghatal, and Ganga Bista were also injured in the mishap.
Inspector Thapa said the injured were rushed to Dhangadhi, Kailali, for treatment.
