According to a cabinet minister, the meeting endorsed the proposal made by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA). The MoCTCA has asked the officials concerned to prepare a detailed safety guideline to resume the flights as the threat of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) continues to remain in the country.

The government had decided to suspend all domestic and international flights on March 22 in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.
