DHORPATAN, July 13: A landslide accompanied by debris flow at Belbagar in Jaimini Municipality-8 on Monday morning has blocked the Baglung section of the Kaligandaki Corridor, a national pride project.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rameshwar Twati of the District Police Office said traffic has been disrupted after the landslide damaged the road.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced
He said efforts are underway to clear the debris and reopen the highway. As the landslide has completely blocked the road, transportation in the southern part of Baglung has come to a standstill.
Deputy Superintendent Twati said road clearance efforts have been hampered as the mudslide continues. Since there is no alternative route along the corridor, passengers have no option but to wait until the road is reopened.
