NEPSE declines 13.95 points following six days’ increase, turnover slides to Rs 5.18 billion

KATHMANDU, July 22: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), which had been rising continuously for the previous six trading days, fell 13.95 points and closed at 2,712.54 points on Wednesday.



The market remained in the red throughout the day. The index surged to the day’s high at 2,720.62 points as it fell to the day’s low at 2694.57 points at the midway of the trading hours.

Among individual companies, the market value of 77 companies increased, 193 decreased and 7 remained unchanged. The trading volume decreased to Rs 5.18 billion from Rs 6.67 billion.


Most of the group-wise indicators declined as the trade sub-index decreased the most by 2.60 percent. Finance increased by 0.49 percent, and manufacturing and processing increased by 0.45 percent.


Ridi Power Company Limited posted the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 423.08 million. NCC Debenture 2086 plunged by the highest of 7.16 percent as Everest Colour Limited inclined up 14.99 percent.
