KATHMANDU, Nov 20: A total of 23 Gen-Z groups have demanded that Prime Minister Sushila Karki be recalled, accusing her government of failing to uphold the purpose and expectations of the Gen-Z movement.
On Thursday, representatives of these groups reached the Office of the President in Sheetal Niwas and submitted a memorandum to President Ram Chandra Paudel, urging him to mediate the formation of a new government.
The memorandum states that the current government—formed on the foundation of the Gen-Z uprising—has not fulfilled even the minimum expectations of the movement. The groups argue that the government has deviated from its core agenda and remains focused solely on holding elections, leaving it “directionless.”

“This uprising and the sacrifices made were not for an early election alone,” the memorandum reads. The groups assert that the government must immediately address the demands of the Gen-Z side.
If the government is unable to deliver, they have asked the President to withdraw it and pave the way for a new administration led by Gen-Z representatives.
The groups have also warned of launching another peaceful protest and pressure campaign if their demands remain unaddressed.
The memorandum carries signatures from 23 groups and alliances, including Gen-Z National Frontliner, Gen-Z Spark, N-Tech Gen-Z, Rini Association Nepal, Gen-Z Parliament, and Swatantra Gen-Z Nepal.
