KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Minister for Home Om Prakash Aryal has said the government is positive about the demands of Gen Z leaders.
During a meeting with Gen Z leaders at his office in Singha Durbar on Sunday, he said the government formed on the back of the Gen Z movement will not work in a way that goes against the Gen Z spirit. "We're fully aware of the demands of the youths. So, the ministry and its subordinates work in full tandem. Genuine demands are met at any cost," he reiterated.

In the meeting, also attended by Police Chief Dan Bahadur Karki, Secretary at Home Ministry Rameshwor Dangal, Attorney General Sabita Bhandari, officials of the peace and security division at the ministry, the Gen Z leaders had reminded the government that protestors must not be criminalized.
They said the youths who joined the Gen Z protest across the country were arrested and some facing legal cases.
In response, Minister Aryal informed that the government acts in broader way. He requested the youths that they could rather cooperate with police persons if they had not involved in wrongdoing.
