KATHMANDU, May 29 :The government has planned to provide land ownership certificates to more than 500,000 citizens within the upcoming fiscal year.

Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel announced this while presenting the budget for the next Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/26, stating that amendments to land-related laws have been made and the budget allocated to distribute land ownership certificates to 500,000 people.
He also mentioned that a survey and verification of landless citizens will be conducted.
