KATHMANDU, July 21: The Cabinet has appointed journalist Jagdishor Pandey as Press Adviser to Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal.
Pandey has been appointed with benefits equivalent to those of a special-class (secretary-level) adviser, according to the government.
Before his appointment, Pandey served as the founding editor of The Diplomat Nepal, an English-language publication focused on diplomacy and foreign affairs.

He also has reporting experience with Kantipur Daily and The Himalayan Times, where he covered foreign policy, defense, politics, international development and sports.
Pandey holds a master’s degree in English literature from Tribhuvan University.
