KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Madhesh Province Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav is set to seek a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly at 4 pm on Friday.
According to Provincial Assembly Secretariat lawmakers have been notified of the meeting through SMS to ensure their attendance for the confidence vote.

Yadav, the parliamentary party leader of the Nepali Congress, was appointed chief minister on December 5 with the backing of 77 lawmakers from a seven-party alliance.
Province Chief Surendra Labh Karn appointed him under Article 168(2) of the Constitution.
The constitution requires a chief minister to secure a vote of confidence within 30 days of appointment, and Yadav is seeking the mandate 15 days after assuming office.
