GAIGHAT, April 27: A man who went missing while fishing in the Sunkoshi River has been found dead after five days.
The deceased has been identified as 51-year-old Shamsher Rai of Jante, Ward No. 4 of Limchungbung Rural Municipality.

According to the District Police Office, Rai had gone fishing in the Sunkoshi River with friends last Tuesday and went missing at around 3:00 pm.
After days of search efforts by locals and police, his body was recovered on Saturday evening from the riverbank at Bhadaure in Rautamai Rural Municipality, said District Police Chief Rajan Chapagain.
The recovery site lies in a northern hilly area about 18 kos from the district police office.
