RAUTAHAT, June 24: A newly married woman has apparently committed suicide in self-immolation here at Mudbalwa VDC-2 in the district on early Wednesday.
Anjali Devi Sha, 21, who was often in mental trauma after the marriage, set herself on fire at the toilet after sprinkling petrol at around 4:30 am this morning.

Hearing scream from inside the toilet, family members and neighbors had attempted to open the door. But, all the efforts went in vain.Later, a carpenter managed to open the door to find out the woman dead.
The deceased uncle Ram Dinesh Kalawar said police reached the incident site soon after the suicide.
SP Sanu Babu Thapaliya informed that dead body has been taken to the District Hospital, Gaur for postmortem, adding they are further investigating the case.
