KATHMANDU, May 1: A meeting held to announce the agreement between the government and the Teachers' Association turned chaotic as school staff expressed dissatisfaction over the exclusion of their demands. The protest took place on Thursday at Ratna Rajya Secondary School in Kathmandu.
School staff voiced their frustration, raising questions about why their issues were not addressed in the agreement, which led to disruptions during the event. In protest, they shouted and caused a disturbance, even forcing media personnel, who had arrived to cover the event, to leave the premises.

Nanumaya Parajuli, co-chair of the Federation, explained that the meeting was intended to share the outcomes of the teachers' ongoing protest and celebrate their achievements. The teachers had been protesting since April 2 and had only reached a 9-point agreement with the government the previous day.
