KATHMANDU, March 20: The Nepal Police arrested three persons with 28,900 US dollars from Tribhuvan International Airport on Thursday.
They are Anita Lama, 45, of Nagarjun Municipality-1 in Kathmandu; Sangita Lama, 38, of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-6 in Sindhupalchowk; and Binod Lama, 47, of Lishshankhupakhar Rural Municipality-7 in Sindhupalchowk, shared by the Spokesperson at the TIA Security Office, Raj Kumar Silwal.

Silwal added, "Such a large amount of US dollars was confiscated from them in the course of hand baggage screening and frisking at TIA when they were flying to Guangzhou, China."
The police seized 10,000 US dollars in 100-denomination notes from Anita and Sangita, and 8,900 US dollars in 100-denomination notes from Binod. All arrested individuals were handed over to the Department of Revenue Investigation, Lalitpur, for further investigation and legal action.
