We are updating, not scrapping active memberships: NC Gen Secy Paudel

KATHMANDU, April 13: General Secretary of the Nepali Congress (NC), Pradip Paudel, has clarified that the party is not scrapping its active membership but updating it.



He made this clarification through a post on social media platform X on Monday. “In response to queries from many asking whether the Nepali Congress is scrapping its existing active membership, I would like to clarify—we are not scrapping it, we are updating it,” he wrote.

According to him, the updated active membership will help connect the party at the grassroots level. He expressed confidence that renewing active memberships of those committed to the NC will make the party more responsible and stronger.


He further wrote, “To address past shortcomings, we are moving ahead with the membership update process by giving special attention to technical aspects this time. By updating through an improved system, we can eliminate the problems and confusion we faced in the past.”
