DAMAULI, July 13: The District Police Office in Tanahun has arrested a woman on charges of online fraud. The suspect, Aastha Thapa, a resident of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-5 in Makwanpur, was taken into custody for defrauding Srishan Khadka, a resident of Byas Municipality-1 in Tanahun, of Rs 500,000.
Thapa allegedly used WhatsApp to deceive Khadka into believing that goods, including mobile phones, had arrived at the airport from abroad.

DSP Deepak Rai reported that the District Court has extended the remand for investigation against Thapa.
