Youth drowns in Kamala River while swimming in Dhanusha

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ayan Kamad, a resident of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-6, according to the Armed Police Force. He had gone missing on Saturday while swimming in the Kamala River at Todkitol, Ganeshman Charnath Municipality-5, where he had gone for a picnic.

JANAKPURDHAM, April 12: An 18-year-old youth died after drowning in the Kamala River, which flows between Dhanusha and Siraha districts, while swimming, authorities said.



The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Ayan Kamad, a resident of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-6, according to the Armed Police Force.

He had gone missing on Saturday while swimming in the Kamala River at Todkitol, Ganeshman Charnath Municipality-5, where he had gone for a picnic.


A team from the Armed Police Force Nepal, including trained divers from No. 2 Chhinnamasta Brigade Headquarters in Mahottari, recovered his body at around 10 am on Sunday.
