KATHMANDU, Dec 27: Prime Minister Sushila Karki is set to hold discussions with senior leaders of the country’s three major political parties on the forthcoming House of Representatives elections.
The meeting, scheduled for this afternoon at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, will be attended by Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, and Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

In the wake of the political situation that emerged following the Gen-Z movement, the government has been holding continuous consultations with political parties to ease tensions and ensure that the elections are conducted on schedule.
On Friday, government spokesperson and Minister Kharel met top leaders of major political parties at their respective residences, during which they urged the government to create a conducive environment for elections, calling polls the only viable way forward to resolve the current political deadlock.
