KATHMANDU, July 21: The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment has said that the supply of chemical fertilizer is continuing to meet demand during the peak paddy plantation season.
According to the ministry, 250 metric tons of DAP fertilizer arrived at the Biratnagar Customs Office on Monday. Another railway rake carrying 1,250 metric tons of DAP fertilizer is expected to arrive in Raxaul on Tuesday.
1,250 metric tons of fertilizer to arrive today
Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Environment Geeta Chaudhary said another railway rake carrying 2,500 metric tons of DAP fertilizer has already departed from Kolkata for Nepal.
She also said the transportation process for 30,000 metric tons of urea fertilizer has reached its final stage.
