KATHMANDU, April 26: Since the start of the Nepali month of Baisakh that began on April 14, a total of 422 disaster-related incidents have been recorded across the country.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), 23 people have died and 73 others have been injured in disasters between Baisakh 1 and 12, or April 14 to 25.

The NDRRMA reports that during this period, there were 217 fire incidents, 14 lightning strikes, 29 windstorms, and three cases of altitude sickness.
In addition, one boat capsized; 114 forest fire incidents occurred, along with 20 snakebite cases and 16 animal attacks. There were also two incidents each of landslides, heavy rainfall, floods, and hailstorms.
Overall, 527 disaster-related cases were recorded during the period. In just 24 hours, from the morning of April 24 to the morning of April 25, 32 disaster incidents were reported. A total of 27 districts have been affected by these disasters.
