KATHMANDU, March 26: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has unanimously elected Balen Shah as its Parliamentary Party (PP) leader, endorsing a proposal put forward by party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the party’s Central Committee held at Ghantighar, Banasthali. The committee had earlier also unanimously approved a proposal to appoint Shah as the PP leader. The appointment paves the way for Balen to become Prime Minister with the support of RSP lawmakers.
