KATHMANDU, Dec 30: Minister for Foreign Affairs Bala Nanda Sharma has left for Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Tuesday to attend the state funeral of former Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. He will pay the nation’s last respects on behalf of the Government and people of Nepal.
The visit highlights Nepal’s deep respect for the late leader’s contributions to strengthening Nepal–Bangladesh relations during her three terms as Prime Minister.

Minister Sharma will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the visit. He is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on 1 January 2026.
