KATHMANDU, July 13: The last rites of 25-year-old Ganesh Nepali, who died while undergoing treatment after attempting self-immolation, were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Monday.
Following his death at Bir Hospital, his family took custody of the body. The cremation was carried out at Pashupati Aryaghat in the presence of family members, well-wishers and local residents.

Earlier, Nepali's family filed a complaint at the Kalimati Police Circle under the chapter relating to offences against life, demanding a fair investigation into the incident. Police said the complaint has been registered and an investigation is underway.
According to police, no one has been named as an accused so far. Officials said those responsible will be identified based on evidence collected during the investigation, after which necessary legal action will be taken.
Police have deployed multiple teams to establish the facts surrounding the incident. They said all aspects of the case remain under investigation and further action will be taken based on the evidence obtained.
