Sources said the probe commission is planning to give Lekhak about a week to appear for his statement before moving ahead with further procedures.
However, Sharma clarified that no letter has been sent to former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli. The probe commission has already recorded statements from other relevant officials who were in office at the time. Statements from Oli and Lekhak remain pending, though Oli has publicly stated that he will not give a statement.
The probe commission was formed by the interim government following the Gen Z protests held on September 8 and 9 to investigate the human and material losses incurred during the movement.
