KATHMANDU, June 29 : Health and Population Minister Pradeep Paudel has been admitted to Bir Hospital after developing a persistent fever, the hospital confirmed.

According to senior physician Dr Dhruba Gaire, Minister Paudel was admitted on Saturday following three to four days of continuous fever. “He was admitted after his condition did not improve,” said Dr Gaire, “Various tests have been conducted to identify the cause, but some reports are still pending.”
Dr Gaire added that while Minister Paudel’s fever has slightly subsided, a definitive diagnosis is yet to be made. The minister will be discharged only after the test results confirm the cause and his condition improves.
