Home Minister urges voters to participate in polls

Minister Aryal said that the elections will be held in a robust and reliable security atmosphere and added he is confident that the elections will be conducted on the slated date with the support and coordination of all stakeholders.

KATHMANDU, Feb 20: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has asked voters to participate in the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5, stating that all preparations for security arrangements have been completed. 



In the Central Security Committee meeting on Thursday, Minister Aryal said that the elections will be held in a robust and reliable security atmosphere and added he is confident that the elections will be conducted on the slated date with the support and coordination of all stakeholders.

On the occasion, chiefs of all three security bodies and the office bearers of the district security committee informed the Home Minister about the entire security arrangements, and the district-specific security strategies will be gradually implemented. 


According to the Home Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting had discussions on the implementation of the central security strategy and the overall preparations for the March 5 polls. 


On the occasion, Minister Aryal took stock of election preparations and the district-specific security strategies from members of the Central Security Committee, principal secretaries from all seven provinces and chief district officers from 77 districts.
